A good example of how skim-lighting a living wall can make it look even more 3D than usual – if you look carefully there’s a recess halfway up on the right to allow access to some switching. This is our classic outdoor wall mix used indoors, with a few extra goodies added for texture. Looks like a nice place to work!

This is (or was) a coal-hole, with a glazed pavement light above in sunny SW6. There’s only about 70cm between the sliding doors and the wall, too small to go out, so we extended the planting across the floor as well! The white geraniums added to the classic wall really work nicely.

Just showing off here! A series of 3m curved half pillars covered in living wall, a flat section above to 6m, leading on to a group of 5m cypress trees. All spot-lit at dusk to boot! A couple of 40 foot containers of stuff were made up here, disassembled, shipped halfway round the world - and then put back together like a ship in a bottle by our talented team of elves.

This is fun – we don’t get the chance to do many ‘before and after’ pictures. The live (....) wall had suffered the usual lack of TLC plus hard water problems. A lot of London ones do. I think they’d had two goes at reviving it before they gave up and called us!

This one works from the same base components, but the client wanted it really 3D and tousled, with little white flowers and splashes of colour. It’s about 5m high to minimise that building in the background, which was an unwelcome new addition!

This is a nice small living wall, around 2m x 4m, which is covering up an old trellis where the live plants had given up. It’s our classic UV mix, to which we can add colour and texture – although more than half of our walls that go out are of this ‘mixed green’ style.

Another Far East project, with clipped-look 5 metre slim ‘flame’ cypresses set deep in the ground so that they appear to be growing straight from it. This one’s got a handy bloke in it for scale as well, shame he’s bending over!

One Hyde Park in Knightsbridge, relatively weeny cypresses at 180cm. The planter makers did a neat job making them fit the slope, too! It’s quite a tight turn to get into the car park, so we think the trees are only there to stop people clouting the wall…

The same Grosvenor balcony job as the long shot earlier, showing the smaller boxwood topiary balls mixed in below the big cypresses. Nice light again, it must be the rates they pay in SW1!

This one’s a lot further away, not far from the Botanical Gardens in Singapore. Again, a nice mix of various things from our outdoor range - and a neat way of putting a stable visual boundary in a place where things grow a foot each time you turn your back on them. Singapore.
